"When we decided to make face masks at the beginning of the year, we were conscious not to make anything medical-grade, as we did not want to take away from the resources that were needed for medical face masks. For us, it was about looking into the future when travel reopens. That’s our main goal – we wanted to offer something for travel that’s breathable, washable, biodegradable and falls into the loungewear category.We wanted them to be a bit chic, so we used leftover silk remnants to make them.

In our face masks, we popped a pocket at the front that allows for a single-use medical filter insert, should they become available later on. The mask is washable and reusable."

Your new travel accessory has arrived. Our chic 100% Silk Face Masks come with a pocket for a disposable filter insert and have adjustable elastic sides for easy wearing.

Our silk masks are 12cm wide on the centre front. The measurement across the face is 20cm and the elastic straps are adjustable.

These are sustainable, washable face masks that have the potential to prevent the entry of airborne particles and pollution. They are not designed to be medical face masks.

Remove any disposable filter inserts and hand-wash the mask in warm water and detergent, then hang to dry. For machine wash use the delicate cycle, then hang to dry.
